Struggling with life

Life is a constant struggle for me.  Just when I think I have gotten it together.............when I have overcome some enormous obstacle.......yet again........another one looms......larger than life........threatening to crush me............again. It occurs to me that since the alternative is to NOT struggle with the circumstance.....to just let the difficulties of life roll all over you like a steamroller, that there is very little by way of alternatives to taking up ones weapons....life skills....and fighting with all your might and energy and will.  The choice is simple...struggle or die.  Actually...it's a no-brainer.

The Wisdom of Silence

Sweet silence.  Perfect silence.  Grand silence.  Impenetrable silence.  Stone cold silence.  Comforting silence.  Understanding silence.  Raging silence.   Compassionate silence.  Indifferent silence.  Heart-wrenching silence.  Tender silence.  Hateful silence. Golden silence.  Burning silence.  Loving silence.  Painful silence.  Dark silence.  Deep silence.  Terminal silence.   Hopeful silence. Cataclysmic silence.  Charming silence.  Boastful silence.   Indolent silence.  Curious silence.  Lonely silence.   Silky silence.  Irrevocable silence.  Comfortable silence.  Deathly silence.  Rational silence.  Sensual silence.  Ugly silence.  Reverent silence.  Arrogant silence.  Mournful silence.  Prayerful silence.  Torrential silence.  Immovable silence. Serene silence.  Terrible silence.  Ringing silence.  Grey silence.  Respectful silence.  Damning silence.  Sacred silence.  Breathless silence.  Devastating silence.  Gentle silence.  Metastatic silence.  Aging silence.  Silver silence.  Healing silence.  Living silence.

The wisdom of Friday

Friday is named for Freya, the wife of the chief of the Norse gods.  It is the day we use to ease into the week-end.  We opt to not wear suits, ties, high-heels, and the other formal accoutrements of business.  We often call it "casual" Friday.  Monday is "clean-up"day.  Wednesday is "hump" day.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are slave days.  Friday is the day we remind ourselves that we do not live to work, but, rather, work to live.
